In this stylistic edit, I will evaluate your first 20 pages for:

• Consistency of tone

• Word choice (i.e. strong verbs, specific meaningful details)

• Character interiority

• Dialogue 

• Use of metaphor and simile

• Clarity and flow

I will be looking closely at the work, sentence by sentence, and encouraging you to consider techniques that will develop your unique author voice.

 

Feedback will be in the form of inline comments and a brief overview letter of suggestions.

 

The package also includes a 60-minute Zoom call to discuss the feedback. 

The edit takes 2-3 weeks, depending on my workload.

While I will point out typos that catch my eye, a stylistic edit does

not focus specifically on spelling or grammar.
