I am grateful to live and work in Ottawa, Canada, on the traditional, unceded land of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people. As someone who supports writers, I believe stories carry responsibility. This acknowledgement is a reminder for me to listen with respect, to learn from the truths of Indigenous peoples, and to encourage writing that honours the diversity of voices on this land.
