Today is my birthday

Today is my birthday. One of those milestone ones. Sixty years old. It seems impossible, but here I am. While many of my friends are thinking about retirement I'm excited to start a new chapter as a fiction writer. I've written fiction for years (the me in picture two wrote a collection of stories about a talking cat named Sneakers ), but fiction has never really been a front burner activity on the stove of my life. I figure by now I've definitely put in my 10,000 hour apprenticeship, so it's time to put myself "out there." Which is why I am starting a blog. I'm not sure what it will evolve into, I'm just going to show up and see. If you want to know a little more about me, check out my about page.
